Eagles of Death Metal frontman, Jesse “The Devil” Hughes, is preparing to unveil his solo debut as Boots Electric. After crafting three successful albums of danceable rock tunes, his first solo album, Honkey Kong, is set to drop September 20th on Dangerbird Records.

Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, The Kooks) and co-written with keyboardist Money Mark, Honkey Kong is described as “the sound of Boots Electric coming out of the closet.” While Hughes has definitely taken a new direction with his solo effort (electronic drums, glam-pop, keyboard-heavy dance grooves), rest assured EoDM fans, these are still tunes you can strut to.
