Metroid Metal to Play PAX East Video Game Convention, #1 Band on Bandcamp

Metroid Metal is playing a ginormous video game convention May 26 and they’re doing it in front of a sold-out crowd of 60,000.

PAX East,(http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/index.php) for those living outside of the gaming universe, is a HUGE DEAL not only for the gaming community, but for the huge community of people who love gaming music. Metroid Metal does better than anyone while transcending the limits of that niche. It doesn’t matter whether or not you get goosebumps recognizing the compositions from Metroid in Metroid Metal’sVARIA SUITE; what matters is the incredible precision, intricacy, passion and skill with which they execute (as in SLAY) each track. The band will be debuting TWO NEW SONGS at PAX East this year.

Do you know how many metal bands are on Bandcamp? Me neither, exactly, but it’s tens of thousands. Just heard Metroid Metal is the #1 metal band on all of Bandcamp; Varia Suite being the #1 metal record. Perhaps it’s time that YOU checked out the record, eh?
