The video for “Home,” the new single from the Goo Goo Dolls, will premiere on VH1.com on Tuesday, August 3rd, and on all other media sources the following day. The video for “Home” will make its TV debut when the band members, singer/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin appear on VH1’s Top 20 Video Countdown show on August 7th. The band is also scheduled to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 1st.
“Home” is the first single from the Goo Goo Dolls’ upcoming ninth studio album,Something For The Rest Of Us, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on August 31st. The single will also appear on the Goo’s recently released EP, Waiting For The Rest Of It, which is being sold at all locations on their current tour and will be released by all other providers on August 10th.
A deluxe edition of Something For The Rest Of Us is currently available for pre-order only at www.googoodolls.com. This version includes exclusive photos of the band, a digital copy of “Home,” and a limited-edition lithograph, some of which have been signed by each member of the band. The release also includes covers of Flesh for Lulu’s “Postcards From Paradise,” Pete Townshend’s “Rough Boys,” and a special cover of the Kinks’ classic “Catch Me Now I’m Falling,” available only on this edition.
