Scheduled to hit store shelves on August 24th here in the US, Mafia II is coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The demo is available for download now, and after checking it out, my level of anticipation has definitely been dialed up a notch.
The developer, 2K Czech, aims to capture the atmosphere of 1940′s America, when the Mafia had it’s fingers in every pot and Tommy guns were just as common as trench coats. You’ll be filling the shoes of a World War II veteran who joins the ranks of a Mafia crime family and works his way up their bloody-runged ladder.
The game boasts truly next-gen visuals, a ten-square-mile open world, and an immersive storyline that promises to carry you along on the path of a Made Man.
Mafia II is rated Mature.
