Ever since the first game in the series launched back in 2001, the Halo franchise has been a force to be reckoned with. Selling more than 34 million copies collectively, and serving as the inspiration for best-selling novels, action figures, comics and more, the Halo games have never failed to set new standards.
On September 19th, 2010, Bungie Studios plan to release their last foray into the fictional universe born of the Halo games. Halo: Reach is a fast-paced, feature rich, first-person shooter that Bungie plans to be the capstone for the monument they’ve built so far.
This time around, rather than continuing the adventures of Master Chief as a lone wolf hero against unspeakable hordes, you’ll be playing an entirely new character as part of Noble Team; a squad of Spartan soldiers with unique personalities and gear.
Halo: Reach is a prequel, and takes place shortly before the events of the very first game, Halo: Combat Evolved. You and your team of squad mates must fight the historic, desperate last battle against the Covenant on the final planet before they reach Earth.
This new addition to the franchise also promises to deliver the definitive Halo multiplayer experience, with all new technical advancements, and a whole new standard in customization both for players and map construction.
Halo: Reach is rated Mature, and will appear exclusively on the Xbox 360.
