Killers Movie Premiere Signing Report + Photos!

Sigh, I ‘m going out today for one reason, and one reason only… Mr. Martin Mull.  I know, I know, probably half of you are not going to know who the heck he is.  But, I’m a huge fan of the character actor and need him desperately on my Clue: the Movie insert and laserdisc.  Sigh… anyway; he’s in the new movie Killers starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl along with another one of my favs… Ms. Catherine O’Hara.  So, I have my Clue memorabilia, my Killers mini poster and a 27 Dresses poster!  Okay, that last one is for my sister… I swear!  Really it is!

3:45 p.m. – I just arrived at the theatre… sigh… there are about 8 other people here already.  There is a small area sectioned off… but here’s the kicker… There is a giant jib arm in the way… sigh…

3:48 p.m. – A jib arm is a large crane like machine that allows large sweeping camera shots.  There is a weight on the end and a camera on the other. Not the best thing to stand behind when scoping out the crowd for a character actor you have not seen in 3 years… sigh…

3:51 p.m. – It’s hot like a mother!  Grumble….

3:55 p.m. – There is a kid here who loves Ashton Kutcher… I hope he gets him.  He’s here with his sister.  They have no idea what they are in for at a premiere like this… ugh… if it wasn’t for Martin Mull!  LOL… I’m only half kidding…

4:03 p.m. – M’Lou is coming but is stopping for coffee… I know that’s shocking.  I think Megan might be coming as well but who knows…

4:15 p.m. – There still isn’t a barricade and people who are just showing up are trying to cut.  Oh no!  That’s not going to happen!

4:28 p.m. – It’s getting so hot… ugh… M’Lou just arrived.

4:33 p.m. – M’Lou is feeling blue today.  I’m trying to cheer her up, but I always feel like I fail in situations like that.  Sad times… If Ashton Kutcher can’t cheer someone up… who can?  Well… Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Crispin Glover, Michael Madsen…

4:35 p.m. – I just realized I listed the strangest group of people, but they are M’Lou’s favs!  What can you do!  LOL…

4:39 p.m. – People have taken their spots on the barricade even though the barricade is not in place yet.  It’s always kind of funny.

4:44 p.m. – Okay, so I think they are setting up a real barricade… I mean real until they movie it again.

4:49 p.m. – yep barricade going up.  This chick is trying to cut me off!  Oh no!  lol…

4:51 p.m. – So we are kind of in place and M’Lou and I are in the front… That’s good at least.  I mean except for a giant crane in front of us.  Sigh…

4:56 p.m. – I brought a 27 Dresses poster for my sister.  You see, now she likes autographs cause her brother collects them, so she has a short list of people she wants, like Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, you know… the simple ones… sigh… Well, she has this 27 Dresses mini poster on her wall that she “signed.”  I saw it over Christmas and it’s tainted this entire collection that I’ve built for her, so this year I am determined to burn that poster and replace it with a real one…

5:03 p.m. – I really hate that movie… ugh… Ah well… it’s not for me.  I have to repeat that to myself. I would have had Knocked Up!

5:12 p.m. – God it’s hot.

5:14 p.m. – M’Lou really isn’t feeling well and might have to step out of the barricade.  I told her to go ahead and I would save her spot but she said she’ll be fine… Sigh…

5:26 p.m. – There are about 30 people here right now, with more piling up… sigh…

5:35 p.m. – We are on the end of the carpet which sucks… sigh… They usually have to usher everyone inside right away.

5:37 p.m. – They are moving the barricade again…. Three feet back… wonderful.

5:41 p.m. – Oh, we’re going back again!  Another five feet.  Why don’t they put us in the parking lot across the street!  Ugh…

5:49 p.m. – It’s getting closer, but the time is just slowly ticking away… ugh…

5:58 p.m. – Carpet starts at 6:30, but everything is getting set up.  I’m hoping that Martin will show up early, but God knows… At least I hope he shows up!  LOL… He really is the reason I’m here…

6:06 p.m. – The sun is finally setting a little… and now it’s cold…. What’s up with that crack rock!

6:14 p.m. – Megan is here, she just left to go on the other side I think… I’m really not sure to be honest.

6:23 p.m. – Oh, I see some cars circling… it’s about to start.  At least we can see who arrives as they come down the carpet!

6:34 p.m. – They have these really annoying announcers doing some live stream for Facebook or MySpace or something.  That’s why they have the Jib arm here… ugh… The guy is super short!

6:45 p.m. – Some people are arriving… nothing exciting yet…

6:49 p.m. – I think I see Demi Moore and Ashton… no Martin Mull!  Dammit!  I thought he would arrive in the beginning… sigh…

6:51 p.m. – The interviews must start at 7:00 cause the announcers are just hanging out.  The girl TOWERS over the guy.  It’s kind of funny really.  Lol…

6:59 p.m. – M’Lou feels better which is nice!  Yay for feeling better!

7:03 p.m. – Oh the short guy is talking to the chick, yep they started the live stream…

7:04 p.m. – Yay, the Jib Arm is moving up so we have more room for people to come over at least.

7:09 p.m. – They two announcers are interviewing some guy… he’s a character actor but I don’t know who he is…

7:11 p.m. – Now they are interviewing Alex Bornstein from Family Guy. A couple people are calling her over but she says, “How can I get over there?”  Great, I hope that’s not going to be what the entire evening is like…

7:16 p.m. – No Martin Mull… what is going on man… and no Catherine O’Hara!  Dammit!  Sigh… Do you know how many mini posters I have for Catherine…? I just can’t even go into it!  Sigh…

7:21 p.m. – They are pulling Tom Selleck up to get interviewed.  He motions that he can’t come over to sign cause he has to get in… ugh… this is shaping up to be a crappy premiere…

7:28 p.m. – Okay, so Katherine Heigl is just about to finish her interview.

Everyone is calling her… she is… oh God she actually coming over to sign!  M’Lou has the 27 Dresses poster and I have Killers… She comes right over to M’Lou and grabs the 27 Dresses poster.  She says, “Oh look!  I love it!”  M’Lou asks her to sign.  Katherine says, “Who should I make it out to.”  M’Lou says “To Mike…” I’m like… “noooooooooooooooo….”  It was really like in slow motion!  LOL… I say, “To Becka!  To Becka!  It’s for my sister; I’m going to give it to her for Christmas!”  Katherine says, “Oh how nice,” and signs it along with personalizing it as well.  Then she signs my Killers poster and then heads around the corner… she signs about 20-25 before heading back to the carpet…

7:32 p.m. – Ashton is being interviewed now… everyone is calling him… It doesn’t look like he’s going to come over… man…

7:35 p.m. – He’s on the carpet and done with the interview and talking to a few people… Demi went in earlier so she’s already inside…

7:39 p.m. – Oh finally, he’s coming over this way, right to us.  He gets the kid, Charlie, who’s a huge fan, and talks to him for a second.  He signs my Killers poster and then heads down the barricade to sign for more people… I only got one, but at least my poster is done… man oh man… What a long day, and no Martin Mull!  I’m so bummed, but at least I got the two stars of the movie, right!?
