Zoe Saldana, Fergie Signing Report

I am so tired… This is my first Jury Duty day and I am bushed… not bushed enough to stay home mind you, but bushed enough to bitch about it on my column!  LOL… I have actually been very excited about today for a while now.  Today Zoe Saldana is making a television talk show appearance and I need her on my Star Trek poster, but wait… also the Black Eyed Peas are doing a concert on the same show.  I absolutely love Ms. Fergie, and I am so hoping to get her.  Erica is going to swing by as well, because of course she has her Star Trek poster to get signed!  Why oh why does Jury Duty have to hit today!  Why Lord why?

4:20 p.m. – I just arrived and thank God I got a spot in the front of the barricade.  I brought my Star Trek poster that I already have Zach Quinto on, and I also brought a Star Trek mini poster that has Uhura alone on it.  They made I think four different kinds, and I have three of them.  I got Eric Bana to sign his at the premiere, and I also have the one with Chris Pine.

4:35 p.m. – This might be a late night.  I really am hoping to catch Fergie going in after sound check, but you just never know.  Sometimes bands will wait until after their set to come over, and as we all know sometimes they just don’t come over at all!

4:41 p.m. – Erica just got here, so now I can bitch about my Jury Duty.

4:53 p.m. – I brought my poster flat for The Duchess, and I also have a Blender Magazine from I think 2007 as well.  I should have saved her Rolling Stone from that year but I didn’t… sigh…

5:01 p.m. – Someone just told me that both Fergie and Zoe are already inside.  I missed them!  Dammit!  Grrrr Jury Duty… and oh yeah, I got on a trial starting tomorrow… double sigh.  They did not sign going in, so hopefully I can catch them on the way out.

5:21 p.m. – It looks to be a long night.  Sigh… Fergie just darted across the ally and only waved.  The rest of the Black Eyed Peas only waved as well.

5:39 p.m. – It looks like the taping will start around 7:00 or so.  I am so tired I can barely keep awake.   I also have this strange desire to S-P-E-L-L  every word that comes out of my mouth.   Perhaps it because I am living the G-L-A-M O-R-O-U-S life.. Lol… oh god, I am really T-I-R-E-D!

6:01 p.m. – Erica only has her Star Trek poster to get signed so she volunteered to get my Blender signed for me!  Thank God for friends!  G-L-A-M-I have to stop this now!

6:22 p.m. – The sun is setting, but it is such a nice night out.  I will say that there are about 25 people here though and we are all tightly packed in.  That is one thing I really hate about waiting so long, I am a person who like his space.

6:44 p.m. – Oh Ms. F-E-R-G-I-E is walking by again, and wait for it, wait for it.. Oh she’s waving… sigh…  The Black Eyed Peas are sound checking.  They keep doing that Boom Boom song over and over again.  I will say that this album is not nearly as good as their last album.  Just my humble opinion.

7:01 p.m. – I still keep hearing that boom boom song… ugh…

7:22 p.m. – Oh, it looks like Zoe is about to leave!  Everyone is calling out for her, and it looks like she is coming over.  I whip out my poster and she starts at my end of the line.  I asked her to personalize my poster and she is happy to do so.  I flipped my board around and I got her on my individual shot as well.  Her publicist keeps yelling only one per person but no one ever listens.  She did almost the whole line, and then took off.  She did a few pictures but not many.   Erica got her poster signed as well.  So, we all lucked out!

7:35 p.m. – I just talked to my friend Scott and he told me that I should have had Zoe sign Britney Spears Crossroads!  LOL…

7:39 p.m. – Oh, the Black Eyed Peas just started playing… oh; they are playing that Boom Boom song… sigh… I miss the lyrical genius of My Humps…

7:44 p.m. – Erica is not much of a music fan, but she does know a couple Black Eyed Peas Songs.  I have to say I am impressed… I-M-P-R-E-S-S-E-D!

7:55 p.m. – Speaking of My Humps!  LOL… Those lovely lady lumps!

8:01 p.m. – The BEP’s are done now.  Hopefully, they will all come out soon.

8:11 p.m. – A couple of the other band members are out and are heading straight to their cars.  Everyone that was at the concert has come over here now.  There must be about 50-60 people hanging over the fence, it’s crazy!  I would estimate that there are about 40 people behind the 25 or so that were here all day.

8:22 p.m. – Oh, here comes Fergie, and one other member of the BEP’s.  She is looking over and debating about whether or not she wants to come over.  She is looking at us again, and appears to be walking closer. She is slapping people’s hands, and walking by, but will not sign any autographs.  She is almost right next to me and stops to sign one guy’s photo.  I then hold out my flat and I get her to sign it.  She really does not want to sign much of anything, but starts signing anyway.

8:25 p.m. – People are going crazy!  Erica gets Fergie on my magazine, and mentions something about a new play she will be in soon.  All Fergie can say is “Thanks.”  LOL… Hey, she was nice enough to come over and sign for us; she ended up signing for about half the line and then headed back.  It was extremely intimidating, and if I was her, I don’t know if I would have come over!  This was a long but very cool night!
