I know I must be getting old.  Do you want to know why?  It’s the first official day of comic con, and I am dog tired.  I mean dog tired.  Today was a madhouse.  It started… well; I’ll let the full article sum it up.  Crazy times, good times and just insanity!

7:00 a.m. – Erica just called.  She said they are giving out wristbands for the Terry Gilliam signing.  She is running out the door, with the Chan sisters cubed.  Oh God, do I get up and go… do I sleep….

7:22 a.m. – Okay, I’m getting ready to fly out the door.  For the sake of all at the Con I do manage to sneak in a shower.  I wish I could say the same for everyone there.

8:22 a.m. – I just parked at Petco parking.  Thank God there wasn’t much traffic.  Erica just directed me to where I needed to go.  I get lost going to Best Buy… sigh…

8:41 a.m. – Just found where I am supposed to be… I am supposed to find someone with a colored bag wandering the hall… I’m serious.

8:49 a.m. – It’s too early for this shit.  I talked to another lady, and she said that she has wristbands.  She is waiting on confirmation to see if she can just give me one.

8:59 a.m. – I got one!  Whoo Hoo!  At 7:00 p.m. I will meet Terry Gilliam!  I’m so excited!

9:03 a.m. – I just got a wristband for the Anna Farris signing for the animated movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.  Andy Sandberg is going to be there too.

9:06 a.m. – Just got a wristband for the Joe Dante signing… Not too shabby.

10:05 a.m. – In line for the Bones signing tix for Fri.  Fox is giving out tix for their signings a day in advance, and any chance for someone from Buffy works for me.

10:34 a.m. – Just got my Bones Ticket!  Whoo Hoo!

11:09 a.m. – I just got a pic of the Wolverine wax statue.  LOL… Only at Comic Con!

11:34 a.m. – Erica just called, and wanted me to meet her to get the Paramount giveaway.  So, we are in line for that.

11:45 a.m. – I just got my pic taken in the captain’s chair… lol… too funny!  There were green Andorian slave girls…

11:49 a.m. – Ohhh Paramount is giving away Star Trek flash drives!

12:30 p.m. – I’m at the WB booth now.  I am in line for the Motion Comics signing… Dave Gibbons and Paul Dini are signing.  I wanted to do a test signing at the WB booth to see where they are setting up the lines and such.  This was a good test.  Cool poster too.

1:15 p.m. – I’m waiting for the Trick ‘R Treat signing.  It’s a horror movie.  Anna Paquin is in it, and I really wanna get a pic with her while I’m wearing my True Blood shirt.  Hey, I just had a talk with a guy about how he paid money for Gil Gerrard’s autograph so no judging!

1:45 p.m. – Holy crap, there are about 150 people trying to get into this line, and no one is letting people in.  It’s getting quite chaotic.  Oh God, this means Fri, and Sat is going to be a nightmare!

2:00 p.m. – They just let people in the line.  Shit.  I got in, but they’re signings are really limited!  Ugh…

2:15 p.m. – They just announced Anna Paquin is ditching the signing.  Man, that’s the only reason I wanted in this signing.  Grumble.

2:30 p.m. – People are walking out of line now… Man…

2:40 p.m. – I got the director and Brian Cox.  They were both nice… but this was a let down.

3:00 p.m. – I’m upstairs for the Anna Farris singing.  Gwar (the Band) is doing a signing next door.  They are quite… Interesting… I see bare buttocks… I see bare buttocks!

3:15 p.m. – Oh the case just arrived.  Anna Farris looks great, I love her.  The house Bunny rocks!

3:30 p.m. – They passed out one sheet movie posters and had the cast sign them.  I got a pic with Anna.  Andy and Anna were really cool.

3:49 p.m. – Okay, I need to eat something or I am going to die.  I’m sitting down at a table, all with really nice people.  This guy was talking about his friend, who is running late because his Night Owl costume isn’t ready.  I thought he was joking, but he’s serious.  I forgot where I was.  The paint just won’t adhere to the plastic.  Who would have known?

4:45 p.m. – I just talked to M’Lou.  I’m sitting on a concrete floor waiting for the Joe Dante signing.  I’m tired, and want to sleep.

5:10 p.m. – We are lined up.  With Joe is Haley Bennett from Music and Lyrics.  She’s nice, but she’s drawing on the table with a silver sharpie.  Hmmmmmmm

5:22 p.m. – Joe Dante is super cool.  I was telling him how much I liked The Burb’s and he told me to come by the New Beverly cause they are doing a screening!  LOL… Only in LA.  He gave me his card.

5:34 p.m. – Back on the con floor… Ohhh Zombie girls.

5:49 p.m. – Oh, Erica is calling.  I’m trying to get a hold of my friend Jared to meet up.  It looks like that’s not going to happen.  Erica needs help picking up stuff.  She is bribing me with free crap.  Smart girl.

6:22 p.m. – In line for the Terry Gilliam signing.  My day is almost over.  Whew…

7:01 p.m. – Just got Terry.  The dude is so nice.  They didn’t have posters though, and they only had what looks like a lame still… sigh… oh well….  He is awesome though.  We couldn’t take any pics, which sucked cause that’s why I wanted to be in the signing in the first place.  Double sigh… Still, a pretty good day.  Tiring, but good.  Just wait till tomorrow!
