Hugh Jackman Signing Report

So, I have to decide what to do here, Hugh Jackman is going to be on two television shows back to back and I’m not sure which one to pick.  I’m going with the show filmed in Hollywood since more than likely I will actually get to see him going to his car/in the studio.  Hugh is in LA to promote his new movie Australia with the lovely Ms. Nicole Kidman.  He’s making the publicity rounds and I’m hoping to get him on my X3 Wolverine mini poster.  So, I’m off to wait in the cold dark alley, with any luck I’ll get lucky!…

5:00 p.m. – I finally arrive in Hollywood, I made a promise to myself not to bitch and moan anymore about traffic.  So, by saying I made a promise to myself not to bitch, I’m actually bitching without really doing it.  See how that works.  HEH.  I’m at the monstrosity known at the Hollywood and Highland, I call it the slab of concrete with giant elephants.

5:10 p.m. – I’m in route to the alley where I’m supposed to wait.  Hopefully, I’ll get lucky and get him to sign.  I also brought an old Men’s Health Magazine just in case I can get him to sign two.

5:13 p.m. – Okay, in the alley now.  There are about 15 other people here, and we are all lined up against the wall.  I’m not getting two. Oh well.  I have my poster out and ready to go.  I have to say, the movie may not have been all that, but the posters for X3 kick ass.  Sorry, it just had to be said.

5:39 p.m. – Everyone is pretty social, I guess they lined everyone up against the wall and then when celebs come out, we can go up towards the barricades.  I’m not sure how this is going to work, but we’ll see.  I heard Hugh is a good guy about signing and things like that, but who knows.  Remind me to write down what happened with Harrison Ford one night.. whew… That was fun.  Sarcasm…

6:05 p.m. – Cars keep coming and going.  Apparently we were told that Hugh is pretaping his appearance so more than likely he is going to be in and out quick.  The premiere for the new Reese Witherspoon comedy Four Christmases is going on across the street.  I’m sure it will be an instant classic.  Did you notice the sarcasm there?  Did ya?  huh?  Did Ya?

6:15 p.m. – My friend called, and I know Hugh left Leno, so he could arrive at any time.  It would be great to get him, but we’ll see. I’m not as aggressive as a lot of other people are believe it or not!

6:41 p.m. – Okay, there he is!  Everyone rushes towards the barricades.  I’m in the second row, which kind of sucks.  I like being in the front.  I’m holding up my poster, but he keeps missing me, dammit!  I’m trying not to smack anyone in the head, but… dammit!  he missed me again.  Oh, wait, he kind of looks up at the poster quizzically.  Yay, I just got him to sign it!  Not a great signature, but I am not picky.  Plus, I didn’t have to wait forever!  I’ve wanted this poster signed for a while so this is pretty cool.  Whoo hoo!  Okay, now I can go home happy! Til the next time I’m waiting in a dark alley for someone!  LOL….
